Four different leaf segments (black framed in Figure 6c) were used to evaluate the presence of the transgenes by PCR (e). The designation of the samples in Figures 6e and Figure 6f is equal to Figure 6c (MW - 100bp molecular weight marker, MBI Fermentas). The quality of the DNA was checked by PCR using 18S rDNA specific primers (f).
